New Mangalore Port Authority, the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and IOCL Mangalore signed an agreement for providing bunkering facilities to ships visiting the harbour, as well as vessels at anchorage/offshore at NMPA, for a period of five years on nomination basis.
The agreement was signed at the IOCL Mangalore Terminal, Panambur, by C Divya, Divisional Institutional Business Head, Bengaluru Divisional Office, IOCL, on behalf of IOCL, and Capt. Manoj Joshi, Deputy Conservator, NMPA, on behalf of NMPA.
The signing ceremony was held in the presence of S Shanthi, Deputy Chairperson, NMPA; Sidharth Agarwal, Executive Director & State Head, Karnataka State Office, IOCL; and Shubhendu Pal, Executive Director (Engineering & Projects), IOCL, along with senior officials of NMPA and IOCL.
The agreement marks a significant step towards enhancing bunkering services, strengthening maritime support infrastructure and facilitating efficient vessel operations at New Mangalore Port.
