NTC has expanded its road fleet by inducting 30 new trucks, a move aimed at reinforcing its project logistics and over-dimensional cargo (ODC) operations across India. Company officials said the additional vehicles will enhance capacity, improve response times and support complex, large-scale movements in infrastructure and industrial sectors.
The new trucks are positioned to carry high-value and heavy cargo as well as routine consignments, reflecting NTC’s strategy of combining fleet growth with more specialized transport capability. The company highlighted that the expansion is intended to strengthen reliability and efficiency in handling project logistics, contract logistics and ODC movements.
With the latest induction, NTC expects to extend its reach across more routes and project sites and to improve turnaround times for customers in sectors such as power, renewables, manufacturing and construction. The operator said greater fleet strength will help it respond faster to customer requirements and support larger cargo volumes as project activity scales up in different parts of the country.
Industry observers note that logistics companies are adding fleet capacity to keep pace with the growth in infrastructure and industrial investments, which is driving demand for specialized heavy-lift and project cargo solutions. In this context, NTC’s truck addition underlines how project logistics providers are preparing for heavier loads, longer hauls and more complex movements linked to India’s ongoing build-out of energy and transport assets.
NTC’s announcement also points to closer collaboration with major commercial vehicle manufacturers, as it sources trucks from leading Indian OEMs to support its operations. The company has previously positioned itself among the country’s larger specialized fleet owners and a key player in renewable and project logistics, and the current expansion is presented as part of that long-term growth plan.
