The Department of Personnel and Training appointed additional secretary in the ministry of women and child development Nutan Guha-Biswas as the new chairperson of the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI).
Biswas, an Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory cadre IAS officer, will be the second woman chairman of IWAI.
Guha is going to replace Amitabh Verma, a 1982 batch IAS officer who has been sent to his parent cadre Bihar with immediate effect.
