Oman Air Cargo has announced plans to expand its network with the launch of a new Southeast Asia service, reinforcing its strategy to grow bellyhold cargo capacity and strengthen intercontinental trade links.
capitalizeThe airline will introduce a four-times-weekly Muscat–Singapore service from 2 July, operated using Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The new route is designed to capitalize on Singapore’s position as a major global logistics and transshipment hub, offering cargo customers enhanced access to onward connections across the Asia-Pacific region.
Oman Air Cargo said the service will primarily cater to shipments of high-value consumer electronics and other technology products, while also supporting outbound volumes of Omani perishables. In addition, the route is expected to provide added capacity for Europe-origin cargo moving east, including temperature-sensitive goods such as flowers from Amsterdam, as well as automotive components and fashion merchandise.
The expansion forms part of a broader push by the airline to scale up its cargo business. In recent months, Oman Air Cargo has strengthened its commercial footprint through the appointment of five new General Sales Agent partners, enabling the introduction of additional offline cargo services to key markets including Australia and Japan.
