Ocean Network Express (ONE) has entered into an agreement to take a minority ownership position in Dalian Container Terminal (DCT), strengthening its foothold in one of Northeast China’s most important maritime gateways.
DCT is strategically located in Dalian, the region’s largest hub for foreign container trade, and ranks among the biggest dedicated container terminals in Northeast China. The terminal has a handling capacity of 6.6 million TEU per year and operates 14 container berths spread across a combined quay length of 4,390 metres. Its deep-water berths and advanced cargo-handling infrastructure enable it to accommodate large, next-generation container vessels.
The investment is in line with ONE’s long-term network and terminal access strategy, aimed at securing stable and efficient port operations at critical regional locations. By becoming a minority shareholder, ONE intends to work closely with DCT on future development plans, including infrastructure upgrades and sustainability-focused initiatives.
