Ocean Network Express (ONE) has announced the launch of a direct, dedicated reefer train service from Hyderabad to serve the region’s growing pharmaceutical sector. The service will operate on a fixed weekly schedule, departing from ICD Timmapur, Hyderabad, every Wednesday at 10:00 AM and arriving at Navi Mumbai’s Nhava Sheva on Saturday at 10:00 AM.
This new service significantly reduces transit time for temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical cargo and ensures seamless connectivity with mainline vessels at Nhava Sheva, enabling faster global reach for exporters.
A key feature of the service is the availability of empty reefer containers at ICD Timmapur, eliminating bottlenecks and providing hassle-free operations for shippers. Further enhancing reliability, ONE’s state-of-the-art Remote Monitoring (RF) technology ensures:
- Precise temperature control throughout transit
- Real-time visibility into container conditions
- Monitoring of temperature, atmosphere, and humidity levels for optimal cargo safety
Commenting on the launch, a ONE spokesperson said:
“Hyderabad is India’s leading pharma hub, and we are proud to introduce this dedicated reefer train service to support exporters with faster, safer, and more efficient logistics. This initiative reinforces our commitment to delivering integrated, technology-enabled solutions that address the critical needs of the pharma supply chain.”
The new service underscores ONE’s focus on strengthening cold chain logistics in India and supporting the pharmaceutical industry with sustainable, reliable, and customer-centric transport solutions.
