Pristine Logistics & Infraprojects Pvt Ltd, a Delhi-based infra-logistics player, has announced that it has bought the Rs 50 crore, all-India container train operator (CTO) licence of R-Infra, the Anil Ambani-led company, last week.

Founded by Mr Amit Kumar and Mr Rajnish Kumar, along with Mr Sanjay Mawar and Mr Durgesh Govil, Pristine operates three rail terminals, in Kanpur, Ludhiana and Patna.

The company recently announced Siliguri and Khagaria as its next terminals, which are planned to be commissioned by the end of calendar year 2017. Pristine has plans to operationalise a total of 15 rail-linked terminals and logistics parks by 2019-20.

Said Mr Amit Kumar: “The CTO licence gives control of services to Pristine. We have an integrated approach and provide the complete spectrum of services from works to port and vice versa. It’s the kicker that we needed for quite some time now.”

Mr Rajnish Kumar commented: “Pristine has been working on filling up gaps in infrastructure and services required to make Indian manufacturing well and truly competitive in the global arena. With the CTO licence, we bring in an important value preposition to streamline supply chain for our customers.”

With this acquisition, Pristine becomes one of the few CTO companies that operate out of their own terminals in India. Pristine is backed by marquee investors—CDC, UK and UTI Private Equity.
