PSA Vietnam, Saigon Newport Corporation pen collaboration deal

PSA Vietnam and Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on advancing sustainable port development and strengthening supply chain connections in Vietnam and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region.

The MoU emphasises the formation of long-term collaborations between the two firms, with the shared objective of using both sides’ insight and skills to assist the growth of the SNP business ecosystem and Vietnamese entrepreneurs.

The relationship spans workforce training and development programmes, free trade zone development, investments and port growth, and the use of digital technologies and information technology in port operations.

PSA and SNP will expand their collaboration for partnership, building cooperative relationships with partners to construct, develop, and grow together, based on current agreements. Both parties will investigate the construction of inland ports, depots, and warehouses, as well as the establishment of comprehensive logistics systems to improve supply chain connections.

Regarding the port ecosystem, both parties will investigate the creation and construction of Free Trade Zones as well as value-added port services.

Furthermore, the collaboration will promote digital economic growth by employing digital solutions and information technology to improve port operations and logistics.

In addition, the two companies will engage in personel development. Recognising the value of human resources, PSA and SNP will collaborate on training, development, and exchanging professional experiences.
