The official opening of Qingdao Port’s general cargo route to India was marked by the recent departure of a general cargo ship carrying steel items, construction machinery, and equipment from Qingdao Port in Shandong province for Mumbai, India. To strengthen cooperation between cargo owners, ports, and shipping companies, Qingdao Port, a subsidiary of Shandong Port Group, has been utilizing the resource advantages of shipping companies and its advantageous location at the intersection of coastal and inland areas since the beginning of this year.

According to the port, the recently opened route is a significant step in improving its service system and streamlining its network of shipping routes. It is positioned to further boost the general cargo business’s competitiveness and influence at Qingdao Port, allowing the port to make a greater contribution to international logistics corridor construction and the collaboration of nations participating in the Belt and Road Initiative. In the future, Qingdao Port will keep using its strategic location and hub status to offer clients more reliable, professional, and efficient services and to create a more seamless, open, and varied global logistics environment.
