Aion-Tech Solutions announced that its subsidiary, ROQIT Greenfield Digital, has been awarded a key contract by Indian Railways to develop and implement an artificial intelligence–enabled logistics platform aimed at transforming parcel movement across the country.
Under the agreement, ROQIT will design a digital system tailored for handling light- and medium-weight parcels, creating a streamlined, technology-led alternative to existing manual processes. The pilot deployment is scheduled to go live on the South Central Railway network between January and February next year. Insights from the trial phase will support a phased expansion across Indian Railways, ultimately enabling a nationwide digital ecosystem for small-parcel deliveries.
The company said the initiative represents a major step toward modernising India’s freight and logistics operations, leveraging automation, data intelligence and sustainable practices to enhance efficiency and service standards.
