Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) and Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd are set to operationalise their newly formed joint venture by November 2025, aiming to strengthen India’s rail infrastructure and tap into global opportunities.
The venture, with a planned investment of ₹200 crore and an initial infusion of ₹10 crore by both partners, will design, manufacture, and maintain freight wagons, passenger coaches, locomotives, metro coaches, and trainsets. It will also bid for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects across the railway and allied sectors, as well as manage workshops, depots, and sheds.
Texmaco’s existing manufacturing facilities will be leveraged in the initial phase, while the JV evaluates additional capacity in line with future requirements. “This partnership combines RVNL’s execution strength in large-scale projects with Texmaco’s expertise in rolling stock manufacturing to deliver end-to-end railway solutions.
