Softtech Engineers has secured a Rs 92.95 crore project from the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority to implement an AI-powered Digital Twin Command & Control Centre. The contract marks the company’s first-ever win in the port sector, providing significant revenue visibility over an 18-month engagement and expanding its enterprise offerings beyond its core urban permitting services.
The JNPA contract is valued at Rs 92.95 crore, representing roughly 13.5% of Softtech’s total market capitalisation of Rs 690 crore. The company’s consolidated Q1 FY27 revenue rose 23.21% year-on-year to Rs 33.28 crore, up from Rs 27.01 crore in Q1 FY26, while consolidated net profit for the quarter grew 9.47% year-on-year to Rs 1.04 crore.
The win expands Softtech’s addressable market directly into maritime port systems and adds high-value AI and IoT systems execution to a product mix that has historically centred on building-permit automation through its AutoDCR software. Executing the 18-month Digital Twin programme at India’s premier container port is expected to establish a benchmark that could help the company target similar smart-port and logistics-technology deployments elsewhere.
The contract comes as the Indian government continues to push port modernisation under initiatives such as Sagarmala, highlighting a growing addressable market for specialised software providers in critical infrastructure. A successful digital twin deployment at JNPA could position Softtech to bid on future smart-city, maritime and highway-monitoring tenders.
