Lufthansa Cargo and United Cargo have officially extended their joint business agreement to include Swiss WorldCargo, marking a significant expansion in transatlantic freight cooperation. This strategic alliance is set to offer cargo customers increased flexibility, improved transport options, and more frequent direct connections between Europe and the Americas.
Over the years, Lufthansa and United have built a strong partnership through this agreement, collaborating across key areas such as sales, customer service, and network integration. Swiss WorldCargo’s inclusion brings added strength and scope, promising a new level of connectivity for global freight operations.
Starting 1 August 2025, Swiss WorldCargo will officially become part of the transatlantic joint business agreement with Lufthansa Cargo and United Cargo—further solidifying the trio’s cargo alliance. This enhanced partnership is designed to deliver improved connectivity, smoother services, and a unified freight experience between Europe and the Americas.
Together, the three airlines will synchronize efforts across more than 200 US destinations, linking them with Zurich and Frankfurt. The collaboration spans operations, sales, and customer support, while fully complying with competition regulations set by the European Union and the United States.
