TCI Reports 9.1% Revenue Growth in Q1 FY2027

Transport Corporation of India Ltd. (TCI), one of India’s leading integrated multimodal logistics and supply chain solutions providers, has reported a consolidated revenue of ₹12,548 million for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026, up 9.1% from ₹11,506 million in the corresponding period last year.

How did TCI perform on profitability in Q1 FY2027?

Consolidated EBITDA rose 5.2% to ₹1,599 million, compared to ₹1,520 million in Q1 FY2026. Profit after tax, however, dipped marginally by 0.6% to ₹1,066 million against ₹1,072 million in the year-ago quarter. On a standalone basis, revenue grew 7.5% to ₹11,116 million, EBITDA rose 1.6% to ₹1,655 million, while PAT declined 3.5% to ₹1,198 million.

Managing Director Vineet Agarwal said the company delivered a steady quarter, with automotive, consumer goods and quick-commerce fulfilment continuing to provide healthy traction. He noted that certain sectors including chemicals, tiles and packaging felt the impact of ongoing geopolitical conflict, but the company’s diversified multimodal operating model and pan-India branch network helped maintain operational stability through the quarter.

How is TCI managing rising fuel costs?

Agarwal said higher diesel and bunker fuel prices created some cost pressure during the quarter. Contractual escalation mechanisms protected the bulk of the company’s contracted business, he said, while spot market recovery reflected only a short timing lag. The company said it remains focused on margin discipline, efficient cost pass-through and improving asset productivity across its network.

What is TCI’s outlook for the coming quarters?

Looking ahead, the company expects demand to strengthen as the festive season approaches, supported by improving market momentum and seasonal consumption trends. TCI said it is also accelerating investments in technology and AI-led capabilities to strengthen forecasting, route optimisation and automation, aimed at improving service quality, cost efficiency and sustainability across the organisation.
