Telangana is developing Logistics Policy 2.0 and an Integrated Logistics Master Plan to position itself as India’s premier inland logistics hub by 2047. The strategy leverages its landlocked location between eastern and western ports under the Telangana Rising vision for a $3 trillion economy.
Six-Pillar Framework
The policy rests on infrastructure/multimodal integration, digital logistics, regulatory simplification, green practices, skill development, and investment promotion. It maps freight flows, industrial clusters, and export corridors for demand-driven infrastructure.
Infrastructure Plans
Key projects include 10-12 new logistics parks, dry ports, bonded warehousing, and a Mega Multimodal Logistics Park at Manoharabad. A dry port near the Regional Ring Road connects via 297-km greenfield expressway/rail to Machilipatnam Port.
Economic Goals
Focus areas cover MSMEs, agri-value chains, e-commerce, green warehousing, EV fleets, and tech platforms. The Peri-Urban Region (PURE) between ORR and RRR drives manufacturing-logistics corridors.
