The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd. (SCI) has announced a leadership change with the appointment of Vikram Dingley as Director (Finance). This appointment is effective from July 1, 2025, until December 31, 2025, or until further notice.
This decision follows approval from the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, as stated in their official letter (Ref: SS-11012/4/2019-US(SU)) dated July 2, 2025. Dingley will take on this role while continuing his current position as Director (Technical & Offshore Services) at SCI.
Vikram Dingley has over 36 years of experience in the maritime industry. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Regional Engineering College, Srinagar, and holds a First-Class Marine Engineer license.
He joined SCI in 1989 and worked on various ships, eventually becoming Chief Engineer. In 2003, he moved to SCI’s shore establishment and has held important roles in departments such as Ship Building, Tanker Technical, and Fleet Personnel.
His expertise covers all aspects of technical operations, dry docking, vessel management, and project execution from start to finish.
In addition to his work at SCI, Dingley is a board member of Inland & Coastal Shipping Ltd. (ICSL) and SCI Bharat IFSC Ltd., which are both wholly owned subsidiaries of SCI.
SCI confirmed that Dingley is not related to any current directors and has no disqualifications from any regulatory or judicial body.
