VOC Port has officially commenced development of its new Multi-Cargo Berth No.10, marked by a groundbreaking ceremony attended by Susanta Kumar Purohit, IRSEE, Chairperson of the Port, alongside senior officials.

The upcoming berth will span 445 metres and feature a draft of 10 metres, dredged to 15.5 metres, allowing it to accommodate vessels up to 1,25,000 DWT. A 7.4-hectare backup yard with heavy-duty pavement will also be constructed to ensure smooth and efficient cargo operations.

Scheduled for completion by 30 November 2026, the project is expected to significantly boost VOC Port’s cargo handling capacity and reinforce its position as a leading multi-cargo gateway in India’s maritime sector.
