VOC Port has reported a sharp rise in construction material movement, handling 4,27,693 tonnes up to July in FY2025–26 — a 200% increase compared to 1,42,482 tonnes during the same period last year.
The cargo comprised stone rough, stone aggregates, stone dust, and paver blocks. Port officials said the surge underscores VOC Port’s improved efficiency in bulk cargo handling and its growing role in meeting the escalating demand for construction materials driven by regional infrastructure development.
