The 33rd AGM of Northern India Steamer Agents Association (NISAA) was held on 27th July 2018 at Paharpur Business Centre, Nehru Place. This AGM saw almost 100% turnout of Members of the Association for this important event.
Mr. Shridhar Subramaniam, NISAA Secretary, started the proceedings by welcoming the guests and giving a brief history of NISAA’s inception 33 years ago & the way this Association has nurtured over the years. Thereafter Capt. D. Mishra, addressed the gathering and gave an overview of the activities & developments during the last financial year. He congratulated the EC members & expressed gratitude for their selfless service to the cause of the Association. He also thanked NISAA Memberlines for their constant support. Mr.Shridhar, then presented the Audited Balance Sheet, Audit report and the PL account for the term 2017-18. He also presented the Budget for the new term 2018-19, which was passed by the members present. Achievements of the Association during 2017-18 was also highlighted. During the open session, members queries were answered by the EC team to their satisfaction.
The By-Elections to fill the vacant position of NISAA President was held after the AGM. Capt. D Mishra got the majority of votes and was elected as the President of NISAA for the remaining term of 1 year (till 2019).
The meeting ended with a vote of thanks and Dinner thereafter.
