Container Corporation of India Ltd (CONCOR) has awarded a procurement order worth Rs 87.15 crore, including GST, to Golden Rock Workshop of Southern Railway at Tiruchirapalli. The order was disclosed on October 6, 2026.
Scope
The contract covers the supply of 12 rakes of BLSS wagons fitted with Brake Van Type BVCM. Free supply items are excluded from the contract and will be provided separately by CONCOR.
Disclosure details
The order is domestic in nature. CONCOR said the transaction does not involve any promoter group interest and is not a related party transaction.
The expenditure represents approximately 0.96% of CONCOR’s trailing twelve-month revenue of Rs 9,085 crore.
Second wagon order in weeks
The latest award follows CONCOR’s order worth Rs 89.09 crore for 12 rakes of BLSS wagons fitted with Brake Van Type BVCM from Jamalpur Locomotive Workshop of Eastern Railway, disclosed in September.
Together, the two orders cover 24 rakes. The procurement comes as CONCOR continues to expand its rail freight capacity after recording a record throughput of 5.58 million TEUs in FY26. The company has guided for overall volume growth of 9.5% in FY27.
