The Ministry of Railways has approved the appointment of Container Corporation of India Director (Infrastructure, Marketing & Operations) Vijoy Kumar Singh as Director (Projects & Services) with additional charge for three months, aimed at ensuring continuity in the company’s projects and services division during a transitional period.

What does the Railway Board order state?

The decision was communicated through a Railway Board order dated July 24, 2026, issued under the Ministry of Railways. As per the order, Singh will take on the additional responsibility of Director (Projects & Services) while continuing in his existing role as Director (Infrastructure, Marketing & Operations) at CONCOR.

When does the additional charge take effect and how long will it last?

The additional charge will begin from August 1, 2026, or the date Singh formally assumes charge, whichever is earlier. The arrangement has been approved for three months, and will remain valid until further orders from the Ministry of Railways. CONCOR has been directed to communicate the official date of Singh’s assumption of charge for the additional post.

Why does this appointment matter for CONCOR? The move is intended to ensure smooth functioning and operational continuity within CONCOR’s projects and services division at a time of leadership transition, allowing the company to maintain momentum on ongoing infrastructure and service delivery initiatives while a longer-term appointment is finalised.
