CULines is set to launch its new JSM service on September 5, providing a direct and efficient connection between Japan and key markets across South Asia, the Middle East and the Red Sea.
What is the objective behind this new service?
The service is designed to further strengthen CULines’ intra-Asia network and improve connectivity between Japan and emerging markets, giving customers a more efficient shipping option to support growing trade flows across Asia and beyond.
Who is CULines partnering with to operate the service?
The JSM service will be operated through a slot-exchange cooperation with Ocean Network Express, allowing both carriers to share capacity and strengthen coverage across the route.
What is the port rotation for the new service?
The JSM service rotation will run Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Kobe, Keelung, Hong Kong, West Port Klang, Singapore, and back to Tokyo, connecting major Japanese export hubs with key transshipment and gateway ports across East and Southeast Asia.
What does this mean for trade connectivity between Japan and emerging markets?
By linking Japan directly with South Asia, the Middle East and Red Sea markets through this rotation, CULines aims to offer shippers a more direct and reliable pathway for cargo movement, strengthening trade links between Japan and fast-growing markets across the wider Asian and Middle Eastern trade corridors.
