On Sunday, DPA achieved an unprecedented 7,83,816 metric tonnes of cargo handling in a single day, surpassing its own national record of 7,78,570 metric tonnes set on June 17. The achievement marks another milestone in the port’s continuing operational growth on India’s western coast.
What role did the Vadinar Offshore Oil Terminal play in this record?
Adding to the achievement, the Offshore Oil Terminal at Vadinar also set a new 24-hour benchmark, handling 5,09,101 metric tonnes of liquid cargo and exceeding its previous record of 5,07,397 metric tonnes. The earlier record on June 17 had included 2,55,557 metric tonnes of crude oil, 40,534 metric tonnes of POL, and 2,13,010 metric tonnes of LPO.
