The National Association of Container Freight Stations (NACFS) has elected a new team of office-bearers for the 2026-2028 term at its 32nd Annual General Meeting (AGM), held through video conference on September 30, 2026.
Dr G. Sambasiva Rao has been elected National President, with S. Padmanabhan appointed Secretary and Karan Takkar taking charge as Treasurer.

The newly elected Vice Presidents and Executive Committee members also assumed their respective responsibilities during the AGM.
The new leadership will serve for the 2026-2028 term and oversee the association’s engagement on issues affecting the container freight station sector.
Focus on CFS industry and EXIM trade
NACFS said the new leadership will focus on strengthening the container freight station (CFS) industry and addressing operational and policy-related issues faced by its members.
The association will coordinate with government departments, Customs authorities, port authorities and other stakeholders to address industry concerns and support the growth of India’s container logistics and EXIM trade sector.
NACFS also reaffirmed its focus on improving efficiency, transparency and ease of doing business across the logistics and EXIM ecosystem.
The association thanked the outgoing office-bearers and Executive Committee members for their contributions and guidance during the previous term.
