Adding another dimension to its cargo handling capabilities, New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) has successfully handled 3,000 MT of Fish Meal in Jumbo Bags through MV CHRISTINA at Berth No. 04.

While Fish Meal has previously been handled through containerised cargo operations at NMPA, this shipment marks a new mode of handling through break-bulk operations, with 3,000 jumbo bags of 1 MT each directly loaded onto the vessel.

The cargo was loaded at NMPA for onward shipment to Gulluk, Turkey.

The successful handling of this cargo in a non-containerised, break-bulk mode demonstrates NMPA’s operational flexibility and capability to efficiently handle diverse cargoes through multiple modes, strengthening its position as a reliable gateway for international trade and maritime logistics.
