Samudera Shipping Line has launched a new fortnightly service connecting the Indian ports of Nhava Sheva and Mundra with Sokhna in Egypt. Samudera expects the new IRS service to provide a transit time of approximately 15 days from Nhava Sheva to Sokhna.
The service will call at Bharat Mumbai Container Terminals (BMCT) in Nhava Sheva, Mundra International Container Terminal (MICT) in Mundra and the DP World terminal in Sokhna.
The new connection expands Samudera’s network between West India and Egypt while strengthening its wider service coverage through Nhava Sheva. The maiden voyage will be operated by Lan Hai Zhi Yuan, voyage 011W, with an estimated arrival at Nhava Sheva on October 1, 2026.
