Summit Shipping launches Bharat UAE Shuttle connecting Mundra, Nhava Sheva and Fujairah.

Summit Shipping Line has launched its new Bharat UAE Shuttle (BUS), a service between India and the United Arab Emirates.

The BUS service is understood to be a shortened version of the carrier’s Bharat Red Sea Service, which also included a call at Aden. The revised rotation is Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Fujairah, and Mundra.

A single 1,700 TEU container ship will operate the service. The revised structure removes Red Sea coverage and concentrates the operation on direct connections between India and the UAE.

The launch comes as Fujairah, on the UAE’s Gulf of Oman coast outside the Strait of Hormuz, has drawn growing attention as an alternative gateway for cargo bound for the Gulf.
